Indy e-Con: Formatting your Ebook

Ever wanted a step-by-step guide to formatting a Kindle ebook? Well, I created one just for the ongoing Indy e-Con. Check it out below!

And… because of the way the links and my blog is working, I can’t actually post the video so you can watch it from my blog. But I do have the link, so if you click that you can watch the video. πŸ™‚

Wow! Thanks, Hope Ann! I’ve been waiting to do this with White Wolf. I’ve put off learning/trying because it seemed so scary and intimating. Thanks for breaking down all the steps. Well done!! (Hand claps and whoops!)

Thanks. πŸ˜€ Yes, it’s not very hard at all once it’s all broken down. πŸ˜‰

This is very helpful and informative. Thank you!

You mentioned not copying and pasting vectors but adding them all manually and individually. Why is that?

Frankly… I’m not quite sure. When I went through the Amazon and Smashwords instruction books, that is what they said. I have wondered about it, and one of these days I’m going to copy and paste and test on a sample ebook to see if it makes a difference. I’ve a feeling it won’t make much difference inside a document once the original vector is added (though if one tried to copy a picture off, say, a website, and paste it in, that probably wouldn’t work as well and might just give you a blank space). Otherwise… you’d just have to test it and see what worked. πŸ˜‰

I will come back and watch this once Indie e-Con is done with, but thanks so much for taking part in Indie e-Con!

I’m guessing this is going to come in very handy if I ever need to format my own ebook – which will definitely be happening if I decide to self publish πŸ˜‰ . Thank you for sharing this with us, Hope!
