‘S’ with Ethaniel:
Ethaniel, the main character in my novel, Fidelyon, has taken it upon himself to introduce you to his world by going through an alphabet of terms and names.
Seamus! He’s a slight lad; red curls and an impish grin. For some reason, he seems to have devoted himself to me, beyond his position as my page. I’ve no clue why, but he’s diligent enough. Of course, he always seems to be chattering about something or another. Not to mention his impish delight in seeing how many items he can steal from our pouches and belts without us noticing. I honestly ought to speak with Lasher about his so-called ‘ranger training’ but Seamus takes such delight in it that I keep putting it off and by now it’s probably too late.
The other S stands for Silvara, of course. Or silver. One can’t think of one without the other. A bow of Silverwood. Arrows of the same material, with silver fletchings. The Archeress is quiet and tends to keep to herself. I’m not sure what happened, all those years ago when she young. Something haunts her gaze, and the current war isn’t helping, but there is little I can do but watch and wait. Perhaps one day she will tell me and let me help.
‘T’ with Ethaniel:
I’ve heard of him, this Captain Tor. I might have even met him, once. If I did, I don’t remember much. I was wounded and he was bleeding out on the forest floor. Or it could have been another wolf rider. I doubt I’ll ever meet Tor for long enough to make a positive identification.
As leader of the Volandum Wolf Scouts, however, he is nearly as dangerous as the Volandum king. The wolves are ruthless, merciless. They’ll fall on a village in the dead of night. When they leave, the only thing alive is raging flames.
But I will stop them; stop him. Somehow, we will win this war, wolves or no wolves. It is only a matter of time. Time we don’t have…
Ethaniel has been talking with you all for the better part of a year but I wanted to give you all a chance to speak up to. Comment below with questions for Ethaniel, myself, or other characters you might know from Fidelyon, either about writing or the world in general. Of course, I can promise a straightforward answer to everything, spoilers and all, but we shall answer something to all of your questions.
