I’ve been talking about it for the better part of a year, but it is finally happening. I’m getting my first three Legends of Light novellas (plus Rose of the Night) together into one paperback version!
Who here is excited about Legends of Light: Burning Rose?
Yes… I changed the title slightly. It was Blackened Rose, but the cover ended upwith a flaming rose, not a black one. (I can’t wait to show it to you, but patience, preciousses) Besides, the symbolism of a burning rose fits the first three novellas better than the blackened one.
Regardless, things are happening and, before I go any further, I suppose you’d like to know the release date.
Burning Rose will be released on
October 3, 2017!
Just two months away! And there is so much to get done before that. But the editing is done. The formatting is pretty much completed. The cover will be coming for an official review around the beginning of September, along with preorders. In the meantime, I’m starting sign ups for Advanced Reader Copies!
With Burning Rose I’m hoping to get 25 Amazon reviews the first day. A highish goal, seeing most of my novellas don’t even have that many, but I think I can do it with all of your help. For those of you who sign up for a free copy in exchange for an honest review, I will send you an ebook of Burning Rose (which includes Rose of the Night, Rose of the Oath, Song of the Sword, and Shadows of the Hersweald) in around two weeks. You will be committing to reading this collection of novellas and writing a few lines to post on Amazon on October 3rd. Of course, life happens. I won’t set my dragons on you if something comes up and you can’t make it. But if at all possible, that is when I’m hoping to get the reviews up.
And yes, I’ll send out links and reminders and such. For those of you who have already read several of my novellas, you don’t have to reread them unless you want to, though they have been polished up slightly. And… yes. Really, that is it for now – OH
RIGHT. I almost forgot.
The blurb for Burning Rose
A war, founded in ancient legends, changes the lives of those it touches forever.
Elissa, a villager from the northern mountains, attempts to save her brother and ends up trapped in a hidden valley with a strange host and a treacherous enemy.
Evrard, the Wingmaster of the Prince’s army, races against his own weakening powers to discover the location of his twin and save her from deadly mistbenders.
Haydn, a pardoned rebel from Tauscher’s army, confronts shadows of myth and former comrades in his struggle to keep his sister safe and find the stolen Stormestone.
Before the war, before the legends, before the Separation, there was a man who started it all. There was a curse, a promise, and a sacrifice. There was the Oathkeeper.
Fairy tales retold as you have never heard them before.
ROSE OF THE OATH: Beauty and the Beast – SONG OF THE SWORD: Rapunzel – SHADOWS OF THE HERSWEALD: Hansel and Gretel – and ROSE OF THE NIGHT: a Rose of the Oath prequel
There. *flourishing bow* That’s the book. Interested in an early copy to review on Amazon? If you don’t have an Amazon account but really want to review the book elsewhere, there is an option for that as well.
