Changing Winds

And then they stood among the ashes of burned parchments, with broken pens in their hands and ink staining their skin. For the time of writing was over and the time of the end had come.

*smiles sweetly*

I was feeling dramatic. You’re welcome.

Anyway, my changes aren’t quite that drastic. But I will be changing/shifting focus around here a little.

Firstly, I’m cutting back my blogging to every other week. Because reasons. I can only focus on so many things and I am planning to focus on the newsletter more than the blog.

*rubs hands* The newsletter now… that will be fun.

Starting January, I want to send a short one out every week and try that for a little bit at least. But I’ll be putting more things in them than before, such as sharing ‘secret’ flash fiction or maybe contests. Also conversations between Scarlett and I. It’s going to be fun. If you’re not part of my newsletter and want to be, just sign up here.

Other ‘kinda’ change is social media. I’m not actually changing what I do on there, because so far I’m not doing much. I’ve just decided it’s going to stay that way. Instagram, I use because it’s fun. And I post on Facebook sometimes to connect with people as well, but that’s what I’m going to stick with for now.

I don’t have the time to cultivate a large social media following, and its use in marketing has very mixed results. I do enjoy Facebook, but for connecting with others vs. just marketing.

But… I do have one cool social media thing that will help, I think. Namely minions. Aka foot soldiers, aka an awesome street team. I have a secret Facebook group for them and, moving forward, I’ll give them social media bits to share and they will spread them around to a much greater audience than I’ll ever be able to reach alone. I think it’s going to be cool.

So that’s about all there is to the dust and ashes and desolation. If you’d like to be on the inside of all the destruction *coughs* I mean life and such, as well as the upcoming launch of Shadowkeepers, join my Legendaries/Street Team here!

  1. Lovely bit of writing, Hope! Excited for all that you are doing and for the changes coming.

  2. This is the only way to correctly inform readers of upcoming changes. When in doubt, be dramatic. XD

  3. Looking forward to the changes coming. Wishing you and yours a Merry Christmas and a blessed 2019.

  4. That beginning though… You MUST put it in a book – you MUST.
*Wanders away to await the end*

  5. Just dropping in real quick to let you know that I tagged you for my NEW blog tag, made for all bookworms who are fans of the Hobbit and LOTR!

You can see the blog tag here:

  6. I’m so excited to find your books on Amazon! Your writing definitely stands out as “a cut above” the cheesy fiction I’ve been sifting through. And from Legends series I found Story Embers: which is an incredibly helpful website. Thank you. God bless you.
