COVER REVEAL: Healer’s Bane

*skids in and crashes against wall*

*steadies self*

I’m alive, and still busy. Maybe too busy, but so what?

Anyway, I launched Shadowkeeper two weeks ago. There’s a giveaway going on right now. And…

I told you all back when I revealed Shadowkeeper‘s cover that it was one of my favorites. I wasn’t lying, but this one is even better.

And I have a ‘secret’ for you. While Healer’s Bane is another novella, it is going to be published in paperback!!! Finally.

I’m very excited about that. Smooth and shiny and all the rest.

Kynet hadn’t planned to be in the forefront of the rebellion. That was her brother’s hobby—rallying the people. Plotting against the leaders. Running into dangers she’d have to negotiate him out of.

That was before the Poisoner tried to kill her with many profuse apologies.

That was before she survived, her hands glowing with a strange power she didn’t understand.

With her new ability to heal, Kynet is convinced the rebellion will only doom them all. Taking the people’s pain on herself is a better and all-around safer way. After all, what is the comfort of one worth, compared to the others who can be saved?

Or will it matter at all as her brother lays plans to end the decades of fighting once and for all?

Not only is Healer’s Bane paperback, but it stands alone. I will get back to Legends of Light, but this takes place in another world with completely different characters.

The best part?

It comes out in little over a month. March 29th, to be exact.

Excited much?

Right. You want to see the cover. I suppose…

*grins even wider*

I am so looking forward to this release.

In the meantime, feel free to preorder the book, add it to Goodreads, and do whatever else you might want to do.

A Favorite Author + New book = Happiness

I was lucky. When I first discovered Nadine Brandes her first to Out of Time books were published and I only had to wait a short time for the third book. That series is great and relatable and all the things, but this post isn’t about them. Instead…

Guess what?

Nadine Brandes is writing a new book!!!

Well, to be clear, she has written it. And signed contracts. And got a cover. So yeah, it’s a bit a long in the process. And today she is revealing the cover for this new book.

And letting me and a few other bloggers help. But before that, here’s the part that had me as excited as the cover itself:

Thomas Fawkes is turning to stone, and the only cure to the Stone Plague is to join his father’s plot to assassinate the king of England.

Silent wars leave the most carnage. The wars that are never declared, but are carried out in dark alleys with masks and hidden knives. Wars where color power alters the natural rhythm of 17th century London. And when the king calls for peace, no one listens until he finally calls for death.

But what if death finds him first?

Keepers think the Igniters caused the plague. Igniters think the Keepers did it. But all Thomas knows is that the Stone Plague infecting his eye is spreading. And if he doesn’t do something soon, he’ll be a lifeless statue. So when his Keeper father, Guy Fawkes, invites him to join the Gunpowder Plot—claiming it will put an end to the plague—Thomas is in.

The plan: use 36 barrels of gunpowder to blow up the Igniter King James.

The problem: Doing so will destroy the family of the girl Thomas loves. But backing out of the plot will send his father and the other plotters to the gallows. To save one, Thomas will lose the other.

No matter Thomas’s choice, one thing is clear: once the decision is made and the color masks have been put on, there’s no turning back.

And it’s coming out July 10th! In 2018, of course.

Oh, right. You want to see the cover.

*internal screaming* I love this cover, okay? And the whole book idea? And why can’t it be 2018 right now? Scrach that. I’ve too many things to do for it to be 2018. But still… ISN’T IT GLORIOUS? I can’t wait for it to be on my self. Also, check out Nadinesoffical post about her cover reveal, as well as the preorder links and all that cool stuff, by clicking here.

Or you can head straight to Amazon and preorder it here.

Oh yes, and one last thing. THERE IS AN ADVANCED READER’S COPY GIVEAWAY! How cool is that? Make sure to sign up for that.

And Nadine Brandes? She’s really cool too. I’m quite jealous of her blog and I’d sign up to her newsletter simply because it’s so much fun to read.

Shadows of Hersweald Cover Reveal

Yes, it is time! Already!

Shadows of the Hersweald is the third novella in my Legends of Light series and retells the fairy tale of Hansel and Gretel. And I am very excited to be sharing the cover with you today.

A battered soldier from a defeated army, Haydn knows the only end to the arrival of the Prince’s governor is chains, followed by punishment and possible execution. Except he hasn’t counted on the Prince himself. Or the pardon which his recent foe has declared to acquit all those who fought against him.

A pardon Haydn detests.

A pardon that refuses to punish the rebels now threatening his own village. And his sister.

Guilt-ridden from his own actions during the war, Haydn knows there are others who have no conscience at all. Others who are using the freedom of the pardon to forward their own desperate schemes.

With enemies closing in on all sides, a pardon that refuses punishment for the rebellion, and nightmares of murder and fire hovering in the back of Haydn’s every thought, can he save the only ones left he cares about before it is too late?

Find out in Shadows of the Hersweald!

And…I suppose I should actually show you the cover now. So, without more ado, here it is!

This gorgeous cover, by the way, was created by a good friend of mine who just started a blog and who you can find here.

Oh, and one more thing. There is something else I’ve been looking forward to sharing. The book trailer for Shadows of the Hersweald. It is the first book trailer I have made and I had fun with it.

Well, what do you all think, of both the cover and the trailer? Looking forward to the end of March yet? 🙂
